I just love popcorn! I eat it almost every night as a snack. I pop it in a pot, no microwave popcorn for me, no butter, no cheese, just a little olive oil and plain ol' popcorn with sea salt! If there is any popcorn left over, although small chance of that, I will eat it the next morning. I could eat popcorn for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So, is there any surprise that my inspiration for this book comes from my love of popcorn? And so you ask...Have I had popcorn in my soup? Yes, I have!

The imagination, creativity and playfulness of my children inspired me to write this story. Both my daughter and son had their favorite playmates, whether a stuffed toy to pretend friend when they were young, and of course they had their own personalities and adventures. The toys were definitely real to my children. I believe that the memories of the relationships in this book are too precious to end with childhood.
